ACTIVITIES AT RENDEZ-VOUS DE LA BAIE
FREE COFFEE PROMO – Wednesday, Nov. 13, 1 pm to 4 pm
Gary Jenner from Nova Coffee and our Rendez-vous Café team are looking forward to serving samples of new products for you! Join us on Wednesday, Nov. 13 from 1 to 4 pm, and sample free coffee, seasonal lattes and iced coffee drinks. Participate in giveaways and draws! This is your chance to give us input into our coffee selections. Gary can also answer your home brewing questions.
Explore Printmaking Technique at the Manivelle, Thursdays, 10 am to 1 pm
Come discover the art of print-making with Sheila LeBlanc-Joyce. The first 3 Thursdays are free. All materials needed for printmaking are available at La Manivelle. After your 3 free sessions you can either:
1. Become a member of La Manivelle for an annual fee of $50, which gives you free and unlimited use of La Manivelle. However you will have to pay for the paper that you use. The price is clearly indicated for each type of paper, or
2. Pay $2.50 per hour for the use of La Manivelle and you will have to pay for the paper that you use. Contact: Sheila 902-769-2302

Tickets available for $12$, 15$ at the door. On sale at the Rendez-vous de la Baie Café.
Indie-folk trio, composed of three women with vibrant personalities. Originally from New Brunswick, Katrine Noël, Vivianne Roy and Julie Aubé weave their accents to create a pleasant ambiance and present their unique indie-folk sound. Even though their voices may give you chills, their lyrics and stories will warm you up instantly, like a hot apple cider.
“Magasinez à la Baie” (Shop in Clare), December 2-8
The Clare Chamber of Commerce is coordinating “Magasinez à la Baie”, a promotion to encourage residents to shop locally during the week of December. The Chamber is seeking participating merchants. The Municipality is on board and will be sponsoring the $1000 Grand Prize. The winner will have a choice to select gift certificates totaling $1000 from participating merchants in Clare. Cost is $150 to participate, and participating merchants will have ballot boxes. Monies from merchants will be used to promote the event in the local media. The Chamber will also contribute money to make sure we have great exposure. Watch for the promotions and shop locally! For more information, contact Paul-Emile LeBlanc: 902-769-5312.
As in previous years, the Conseil des Arts de la Baie is coordinating EXPO-VENTE once again in the Le Trécarré Art Gallery, from Nov. 20 to Dec. 31, 2013. The souvenir boutique at Rendez-vous de la Baie also carries a wide assortment of local arts and crafts. Come join us by supporting local artists and shopping locally!

Managed by the CDÉNÉ, Business Development and Entrepreneurship (CDENE-BDE) provides high-quality business services in the rural Acadian and Francophone regions of Nova Scotia. The team members are able to advise you to manage your business or to realize your ideas to start your own business.
CDENE-BDE primarily offers business counselling and consulting services for aspiring entrepreneurs and for those wishing to expand and/or upgrade their business.
CDÉNÉ-SAE provides entrepreneurs a range of information relevant to the business world and frequently organizes networking events. The center conducts numerous activities to raise awareness (especially for young people) to the importance of entrepreneurship.
CDENE-BDE is part of one of the five provincial members of the Alliance of University Business Development Centers (UBDC) and is the only member to provide full services in both official languages.
